About Me, and What is MegabyteCoffee?

My name is Chris Weis, and I live somewhere in the DFW area of Texas. The picture on the right is of my wife, Maritza and myself.

What I do for a living could take a page on it's own, but, I am employed as a Director of I.T. for CEC Entertainment. I oversee computer systems in over 500 restaurants nationwide, and many internal systems, which includes, hardware and software support, repairs, software maintenance, system configuration, design, integration, and even some electronic engineering at times.

I am very involved in Information Technology and electronic engineering. it is my profession, and hobby. Eletronics was my speciality for several years before I moved into a very unique and high stress IT role. You can see the details of one of my projects for CEC HERE.

MegabyteCoffee is my personal webserver that I run out of my home. The name totally describes me -Hooked on Cafe Mocha Espresso drinks and keeping my head buried in computers all day and night. I believe my most creative work comes from drinking Mocha espresso's while working on the computer.

This website is hosted on my own server that I have running in my home. I am using Wildcat! Winserver for the webserver. Wildcat! is a very versatile and easy to maintain webserver which is running Web, FTP, Telnet, Email (And antispam), and NewsServer. It can do much more just out of the box. I won't go into what my firewall is. This system is used for personal reasons (Such as providing a better email service than my ISP can provide), and professionally it allows us to work on projects for our jobs and other things that we involved with and working on.
